How much is my gold worth?
As soon as your gold is received, it will be taken to our testing facility where our professionally trained gold appraisal team will use the latest technology to test both the karat and weight of your items. After this has been done a full break down of the valuation of each item of jewelry will be sent out to you as well as a cheque for the full amount shown on the valuation.
We also offer a no risk guarantee which covers you, should you not be satisfied by the payment we have sent. If you do not agree with our payment and want your jewelry returned, contact us within 48 hours of receiving your cheque OR within 12 days of the date on the cheque. We will then send out to you our return instructions so that you can have your items returned as soon as possible - with absolutely no questions asked.
What happens if I don't agree with the payment you have sent me?
When you receive your cheque, if you are not 100% happy with the payment, you should contact us within 48 hours of receiving the cheque. Or you can contact within 12 days of the date that is printed on the cheque. We will then send you instructions on how to have your gold returned to you. We return items as soon as possible and will not ask you any questions.
How will I get my money for my gold?
As soon as your gold has been fully appraised we will send out a cheque, in your name, to the address that you have supplied us. You should receive your cheque within in a few days.
When do I get my check for my gold?
As soon as we have appraised each item that is contained in your Gold Pack we will mail your cheque out to you. In most cases, this takes just a few days.
Do I have to pay anything for my Gold Pack?
No, you do not have to pay a single penny for your Gold Pack. Your Gold Pack will contain a Gold Return Pack which is not only pre-paid, it is also insured. You will use this to send your gold items back to us.
What happens if my Gold Pack will not hold all of my gold?
If you have a number of gold items that will not fit into your Gold Return Pack you can make alternative arrangements by contacting us.
What do I do with my Gold Return Pack?
Simply put all of your gold into the Gold Return Pack and mail it back to us. It really is that easy! As your Gold Return Pack is pre-paid and insured you do not have to worry about a thing. Just sit back and wait for your cheque to be mailed out to you.
Is it safe to send gold through the mail?
As mentioned, your Gold Return Pack is insured and there is no mention on the packaging that it contains any precious metals. So your gold is 100% safe using this method.
Will I be notified when you get my Gold Return Pack?
Although we will not notify you, it is possible to track your Gold Return Pack as we provide a tracking number in your Gold Pack. On average we receive Gold Return Packs in 1-2 days.
This sounds like a long process - how long does it actually take?
The majority of people who request a Gold Pack get in within 2-3 days. We then receive your Gold Return Pack 1-2 days after you have mailed the pre-paid and insured envelope back to us. At this stage we will appraise the gold you have sent us and write a cheque for the full valuation of your items. You should receive your cheque 1-3 days after this. In total, from start to finish the process takes 5-7 days, starting when you ask us for a Gold Pack.
Do you accept gemstones?
Unfortunately, at this time we do not pay for gemstones. If you have any gold items with gemstones, we would ask you to remove them prior to sending the gold to us, if the gemstones are of any value to you. If they are not of any worth, you can still send the item to us and we will pay you for its gold worth. We do not send back gemstones, so if you want to keep them, please remove them before you send in your gold.
I'm not sure if my jewelry is made out of gold - can you help?
You can leave this in the hands of our professional appraisals experts who will fully test all of your items to determine if they are made from gold or not. They will also be able to work out the karat value for each individual item. If you would like to see if your jewelry is made from a precious metal, try this simple test. Take your jewelry and hold it against a magnet, if it sticks to the magnet and is magnetic, it is not a precious metal as these are not magnetic.
Where do you accept gold from?
At King Cash Gold all actual gold items are paid for, regardless of what condition they are in.
Gold markings that we accept include:
